WHEN DO WE OPERATE ?
Istanbul Walks operates all year round. We go to the most of interesting parts of the city on weekdays and weekends; on public holidays and religious holidays.

WHERE TO ?
In our reportoir we have over 28 different walks in Istanbul. We have scheduled 2 walks a day-one in the morning and one in the afternoon-14 walks a week in the historical peninsula, and Beyoglu districts. Every day we have tours to Princes’ Islands – to Büyükada and Heybeliada. We have daily cruise departures to Bosphorus Strait. “Dining Out In A Turkish Way” is innovation that we have introduced it to the market. We have walking tours to most important museums of Istanbul. Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and Dolmabahçe Palace walks are well prepared and “Secrets of The Harem” is an adventure should not be missed. For groups and with request we have walks to different areas such as Kadiköy, Üsküdar, the villages of Bosphorus, closer neighbourhoods such as Bakirköy, Yesilköy and Kurtulus, and etc. We have all day out-of-town experiences such as Bursa, Edirne, Iznik, Sile, and etc.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION FOR THE TOUR ?
Yes you must! To be able to arrange to join one of our walks you need to book in advance. We reccomend you to book in advance or at least a day prior to departure.You can book via e-mail or at the reception desk at your hotel or call us directly at our phone numbers.

WHAT IS MINIMUM PERSON REQUIRED FOR DEPARTURE ?
Istanbul Walks tours are guaranteed departing tours. We depart even with one person (except to some destinatations mentioned in the program)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ?
Daily walks that departs every day costs 20,00 € for adults. Students and seniors over 65 have a special fee of 16,00 € . Children below 12 are free of charge. Walking Tours by Day of the Week costs 20,00 € for adults. Students and seniors over 65 have a special fee of 16,00 € . Children below 12 are free of charge. Museum Walks including entrance fees costs 25,00 €. Students and citizens over 65 don’t have a special fee. Children below 6 are free of charge.

Princes’ Islands Walks costs 40,00 € for adults. Students and seniors over 65 have a special fee of 35,00 € . Children below 12 are free of charge.

Dining Out in a Turkish Way costs 60,00 €-and transportation from/to hotel is included.

Cruise & Walk costs 20,00 € for adults. Students and seniors over 65 have a special fee of 16,00 € . Children below 12 are free of charge.

Galata The Jewish District costs 25,00 € for adults. Students and seniors over 65 have a special fee of 20,00 €. Children below 12 are free of charge.

WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE ?

Daily walks that departs every day – The price includes guide and gratitudes to churches and mosques. It does not include museum entrances, transportation and meals.

Walking Tours by Day of the Week The price includes guide and gratitudes to churches and mosques. It does not include museum entrances, transportation (when it's needed) and meals.

Museum Walks The price includes guide and admission to the Museum. It does not include transportation and meals.

Princes’ Islands Walks The price includes guide, return ferry ticket and gratitudes to churches and mosques. It does not include museum entrances, transportation (when it's needed) and meals.

Dining Out in a Turkish Way The price includes Guide, transportation, kebaps, starters, simit, local drinks (limited), tripe soup, tea, Turkish coffee, Live Music.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE ?
The usual Istanbul Walk takes about 3 hours.

Museum Walks: Hagia Sophia (1 hour 30 minutes), Topkapi Palace (3 hours), Dolmabahçe

(3 hours), Hamam (2 hours) and Secrets of Harem (1 hour)

HOW DO I MEET THE GUIDE ?
You meet the guide on the pavement just outside the Istanbul Metro or bus station or tram station or as mentioned in each itinerary-Please follow the instructions in the brochure. The guide will hold a copies of an Istanbul Walks leaflet. You can also book transfer to the meeting point. For detailed information please read the chapter below.

CAN I HAVE A TRANSFER TO THE MEETING POINT ?
Yes you can. We can organise your transfer to the meeting point if you are in the European side of Istanbul for an additional 5,00 Euro per person per shuttle. Transfer from Asian side of Istanbul to the meeting point is 15,00 Euro per person per shuttle. We do not have discounts for transfers.

HOW DO I PAY ?
You can pay at the hotel reception desk or pay directly to your guide in cash. Credit cards are welcome with mail order or if you pay in advance at our office.

HOW FAR DO WE WALK ?
We walk aproximately 2 - 3 km.

HOW DO I GET A STUDENT DISCOUNT ?
Please bring along your student ID

IS IT POSSIBLE TO BOOK A PRIVATE GUIDE ?
Istanbul Walks’ guides can be booked for private walks for private parties, families, school. Please contact our office for this request.

CAN I GET FROM MORNING TOUR TO AFTERNOON TOUR ?
Yes you can. It is very easy to catch the afternoon tour if you are participating in the morning tour. Just ask your guide for directions.

SPECIAL NOTE TO OUR WOMAN GUESTS VISITING MOSQUES

Women should not forget taking scarfs with them. They may need it for mosque visits.
